Tap, tap- Is this thing on? I realize most of you know me, and you are only here for the sarcasm, so I will get right to it. I was born a poor black boy… Nope. That’s Steve Martin, not me. I have a dream!! Dang it- Where did I put those notes.

I am the wife to The Fireman, and we live with our five kiddos in a little house in Northern Nevada. I teach and minister to a neighborhood up the road by working as their 5th grade teacher and helping to pastor a church in the same neighborhood. We try to lead by example, keep the big picture always in view, and challenge our kids to look beyond themselves to others who are truly struggling.I am elbow deep in writing a book. Keep up with all of that and more here on the blog; don’t miss a thing- check me out on Instagram and Facebook. The links are somewhere around here.

On Tuesdays, we eat tacos. You’re all invited.

Nonsense at its Finest

“Sometimes I wonder about my life. I lead a small life – well, valuable, but small – and sometimes I wonder, do I do it because I like it, or because I haven’t been brave? So much of what I see reminds me of something I read in a book, when shouldn’t it be the other way around? I don’t really want an answer. I just want to send this cosmic question out into the void. So good night, dear void. ” Kathleen Kelly
